Tim Kubart is a Grammy Award Winning and Emmy Nominated entertainer and content creator for all ages. His mission in work and in life is to spread kindness and joy, and to encourage others to do the same.  

Tim's passion for making music for kids and families was discovered while volunteering in the nursery of an NYC homeless shelter during college. His "indie pop for all ages" aims to entertain without excluding anyone, young or old. Tim and his songwriting partner Matt Puckett weave their own childhood memories through textured pop tunes with lyrics that bridge the gap between innocence and wisdom. In February 2016, Tim and his team were awarded the Grammy for "Best Children's Album" for the togetherness themed album, "Home." Tim’s live shows (with his backup band “The Space Cadets”) are an interactive dance party for all ages.

He's probably best known though as the “Tambourine Guy” from the viral music collective Postmodern Jukebox. He has performed with PMJ in sold out shows across the country and internationally, most notably at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, LA's Microsoft Theater, Amsterdam's Paradiso, London's Roundhouse, and Moscow’s Yotaspace. His clowning around with PMJ has helped them reach over 600 million views on their YouTube page and the number 1 spot on the iTunes Jazz charts for 8 consecutive albums.

When he's not dancing with his tambourine, Tim hosts, produces, and writes the only live morning show for preschoolers, Sunny Side Up, on NBCUniversal's Sprout Channel. With his co-host Chica the Chicken, Tim sings songs, performs sketches, and celebrates everyday moments for a national audience of kids and their caregivers each day. Broadcasting every morning from 30 Rockefeller Plaza in NYC makes the show a destination for special guests; favorite visitors include Julie Andrews, Mary Lou Retton, Bobby Moynihan, Tim Gunn, OK GO, William Shatner, Harry Connick Jr., Astronaut Chris Hadfield, and the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama. "Sunny Side Up" earned an Emmy Nomination in 2016 for "Outstanding Children's Series,” and is the winner of the 2016 Cynopsis Kids Imagination Award for “Best Preschool Series.” Tim made his Sprout debut in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2013, and has appeared in NBC's long-standing PSA campaign, "The More You Know." Tim also composed Sprout’s 2016 Thanksgiving Day Parade Song, “Growing Together.”

Tim has independently released four albums for kids and families. He has reached the top of Sirius XM Kids Place Live charts multiple times, and tours his show nationally. His music is a celebration of the small moments in life, the ones that matter most. Tim and his band of Space Cadets have played at capacity shows at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, Brooklyn Bowl, Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, The Kennedy Center, Chicago's Old Town School of Folk, and the Smithsonian. They've also headlined the family stages at Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. They are on a never ending tour and play most weekends of the year. New York Family describes Tim as "The Kindie Scene's Breakout Star."

Beyond Space Cadet full band concerts, Tim has also performed over 800 birthday parties and taught over 5,000 preschool music classes. Tim continues to perform birthday parties and classes, but high demand led him to launch "Tambourine Kids" in 2015. Tim not only heads parties and classes himself, he also personally handpicks and trains each teacher and entertainer to provide the highest quality and the most joyful experience for parties, classes, and playgroups.

In addition, Tim composes songs for other children's properties, most notably "Sesame Street." His first Sesame composition (written alongside long time producer Dominic Fallacaro) is the introduction of Julia, the first muppet with autism. His debut children's picture book "Oopsie-Do!" is being published by "HarperCollins" and will be on bookshelves in 2017. He's also currently working on a stage show called "Makers and Shakers" developed alongside top NYC entertainer Mario the Magician, and the New Victory Theatre in Times Square.

Tim lives and rides his bike in Brooklyn. He loves animals and his favorite color is cerulean.
